Evidence, without borrowed outcomes
The coaching approaches that inform VocalCalm have long, independent histories. That does not make results from another study or product a VocalCalm result.
What informs the product
VocalCalm draws conversation structure and practical exercises from nine established psychological and coaching traditions. The app uses those ideas to support reflection, skills practice, and a realistic next step.
What we do not claim
VocalCalm has not completed a randomised clinical outcomes trial. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat a condition, and does not claim that results from research on another AI system were produced by VocalCalm.
What we can evaluate responsibly
- Whether people can start and complete a useful session
- Whether coaching-style selection is understandable and helpful
- Whether saved continuity feels accurate and controllable
- Whether Helpful Resources appear reliably when needed
- Whether privacy explanations match production behaviour
A claim standard for future work
Any future outcome claim should name the exact VocalCalm version tested, study design, population, comparator, measurement window, and limitations. Until then, the website should describe capabilities rather than imply clinical efficacy.
